The SPACES Policy Forum continues to be a platform bringing together actors in the non-institutional cultural sector in our countries of action (Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia).
Taking the Croatian example as a model (that shifts according to the local context and adapts to particular needs), we organised informal groups/ hubs of cultural operators and experts in all the countries, to engage with them in the discussion, creation and advocacy for advanced cultural policies. A major aim was to propose structural changes that improve and further develop the non-institutional culture in the region.
The participants of the policy forum were often representatives of cultural organizations or groups. As a result, cultural policy initiatives emerged, directed towards the development of the new cultural scenes in the different countries and their relations to similar scenes in the neighboring countries (but also to the specific policy and developmental practice in other European countries).
